Trim, the chair designed by Alegre Design for Actiu, has been awarded the prestigious German Design Award in the category Excellent Product Design - Office Furniture. A recognition of the qualities of a design made under two fundamental premises: health and comfort. Trim is a solution designed for maximum user adaptation in professional and operational spaces of various kinds. The design offers a combination of features that guarantee well-being for continued use: advanced synchronization, tension regulators, ergonomic curves and backrest and lumbar area regulation. A highly functional solution, which is also beautiful.

A design adaptable to the individual and the environment. The technical qualities of the Trim family fit the needs of each person through three models: polypropylene sheet backing, technical mesh or upholstered Tex backrest. It offers a wide variety of finishes, textures and colors that allow an organic fit in flexible or static, convincing or coworking work environments. Likewise, the materials are designed for prolonged and sustainable use, being 90% of the components recyclable.

“The texture of Trim, created from a plastic sheet, very durable, creates a mesh that generates back support and promotes ventilation, favoring long working hours and improving user well-being,” explains Marcelo Alegre, from the Alegre Design studio, which Trim signs.

Actiu.Alegre Design has been designing for 18 years, with 21 patents and more than 200 products created. Among them is Trim for Actiu , a Alicante company specializing in the creation of furniture, whose flexibility and productive capacity allows developing global equipment projects internationally providing solutions for the well-being of people. Both collect this German Design Award, a benchmark in the product design sector. The German Design Council chooses the products that are evaluated and subsequently awarded, after a professional and impartial analysis. An international competition where projects from around the world are presented.
