Exhibition Taking the leap. It is an exhibition of the Art Collection of the University of Salford in the United Kingdom, focusing on contemporary digital Chinese art, the works have been selected by the famous curator of Hong Kong Ying Kwok.

With the Taking the Leap exhibition, Kwok challenges collectors and the public to get away from their comfort zone and demonstrates how to collect digital works of art presenting such exciting artists like Cao Fei, Sun Xun, Mishka Henner or the duo Jon Thomson and Alison Craighead.

The exhibition also hopes to inspire collectors to commission artists to create new works. Proving this point, the often censored female multimedia artist, Lu Yang, has been curated to create a new photographic light box that will be shown at the exhibition and will then become part of the Salford University Art Collection.
